Daily Prompt: Trust Fall

Have you ever participated in a trust fall?

Your only job is to make yourself easy to catch. Put your hands in your chest, lock your knees, shoulders, and head back (oh no!!! sobrang nakakatakot... pramis!!! o_O), probably because when we are falling, we feel completely out of control - and most of us do not like that. Once you pass that “point of no return” it is too late to change your mind. You cannot catch yourself. You have to trust the people waiting to catch you.

Just like in life, we're always afraid to give our full trust in Him, not realizing that He's bigger than anything else in this world.

"Perfect love casts out all fear" -1 John 4:18

You were not meant to sit at the edge of your comfort palace. Not trying for fear of falling. Not loving for fear of losing love. Not speaking your truth for fear of what others will think. Not looking at yourself in the mirror for fear of what you might see. Try, and then try again with all your might. Your courage will unfold as your resolve takes hold.

Fear and love cannot co-exist! Decide to love. Decide to trust. Then lock your knees, shoulders back, and let go!

They (my sister and my niece) were watching “Finding Nemo” last Sunday, and that moment I was plucking my guitar, I was about to get my capo when I heard clearly what Dory says (the blue fish) “Just keep on swimming, just keep on swimming” Oh! That’s it! Iniiyakan ko ang planner ko habang binabasa ang mga naisulat kong plano, para sa sarili ko, para sa pamilya ko, para sa komunidad kung san ako nabibilang at para sa ikauunlad ng bansang Pilipinas (haha. Loko lang) yung totoo, nitong mga nakaraang araw, maraming beses lang nakikipag usap sakin ang Panginoon sa pamamagitan ng mga talata ng librong aking binabasa, sa musikang aking pinapakinggan at maging sa mga taong aking nakakasalamuha, ang minsang mga bagay na akala ko’y nakaayon naman sa plano ng Panginoon ay nag iiba ng ruta at mas pinapakitaan Niya ko ng bagay na di ko sukat akalain, at kelangan ko talagang namnamin. Ang pulit ulit na mensaheng binibigay Niya “ Mag antay ka ” ang salitang to na pakiramdam ko unti unti kong ikamamatay (OA lang… haha) sati’y napak ahirap isa –puso’t isabuhay, habang iniisip nating ang buhay nati’y isang mahabang paglalak...
